The research vessel (R/V) G.O. Sars is owned and run by the Institute of Marine Research, Norway. The station began measuring sea surface pCO2 in 2003, and NORCE is the responsible institution for this effort, with Dr. Ingunn Skjelvan as PI. Carbon-VOS G.O. Sars sails primarily in the Nordic Seas including the North Sea and the Barents Sea.
