Re. negative delta T: The inlet T can be "fluctuating" a bit more, as in the EQ, there is the whole of 10 Litre water mass, where the "fresh" water will mix constantly with the "old" water already in. The water exchange in the EQs is never like the "laminar" water mass exchange like e.g. in a much smaller water tube. That surely can "dampen" a bit that T fluctuations in the EQs to smaller fluctuations (like e.g. a capacitor does in electric circuit). This effect can reflect in the gliding means values as well. A mismatch up to -0.1°C can be responsible for a deviation of up to ~1.8µatm CO2.
Re. std gas (800 ppm) being more than 2 ppm off from the calibrated value for parts of the dataset:
There are time series in the dataset where the laser spectra of the Los Gatos CO2/CH4 sensor are a bit offset, e.g. when the sensor was shut down "cold", means electricity was just cut off due to a system malfunction. This is never good and can lead to such behaviour. This is normally corrected in time by the operator, but can take some time, depending on the circumstances (e.g. operator nit available, system down for longer time etc.).
