Airborne measurements of atmospheric methane and meteorological data obtained in July and October 2022 in the vicinity of coal mine ventilation shafts in the Upper Silesian Coal Basin. Measurements were performed with the platform HELiPOD, a drag sonde attached as a sling load to a helicopter. This dataset supplements Förster et al., https://doi.org/10.5194/egusphere-2025-1010, 2025, where it has been described and analyzed. This work has been supported by funding from UNEP’s International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO). For details about data contents, see the file 00_readme.txt inside the zip archive.
