            "comments": ["Clara bog is a raised bog and is also a Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The site is located to the south of the town of Clara and is divided into two units Clara East and Clara West by a road. The site is approximately 464 hectares in size, is generally flat and is bordered by an esker ridge to the north which is elevated from the bog and the entire site is surrounded by agricultural land and some forestry. The vegtation at the site is diverse and is categorised according to the ecoptopes present and the associated dominant vegetation communities these range from Calluna vulgaris is the dryer/marginal ecotopes to Sphagnum cuspidatum in the central ecotopes. Each ecotope also has a characteristic micro-topography. The vegetation height is low (<30cm) with some variability (5-10cm) in places due to seasonality in vascular plants present."],
