This dataset is part of the Supporting Information to the manuscript "Impacts of extreme summers on European ecosystems: a comparative analysis of 2003, 2010 and 2018" , published in the Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B. We provide gridded data of GPP (gross primary productivity), TER (total ecosystem respiration), NEP (net ecosystem productivity) and MRSO (soil-moisture) at monthly time-steps, between 1979-2018, for the group of 11 DGVMs used in the study. Data are free to use, but it would be appreciated if users could inform the authors about the data use. For general questions about the dataset, please contact A. Bastos, S. Sitch and P. Friedlingstein. For more information about the model simulations, please see the Methods section of the respective paper. The data provided here have been resampled to a common 0.25x0.25 degree grid, and aggregated to monthly averages. The data are provided as netCDF files, with 4D (model, time, lat, lon) variables. Models: 1. CABLE-POP, 2.ISBA-CTRIP, 3. DLEM, 4. ISAM, 5. JSBACH, 6. LPJ-GUESS, 7. LPX-Bern, 8. OCN, 9. ORCHIDEE, 10. ORCHIDEE-MICT, 11. SDGVM
