AB  - This document provides instructions for the deployment and operation of PhenoCams for automated vegetation phenology monitoring at ICOS ecosystem stations. Specifically, the document provides guidance on camera installation and maintenance, and explains how images are acquired, automatically transferred to the ICOS Ecosystem Thematic Centre (ETC), processed into standardized data products and archived for long-term storage through the ICOS Carbon Portal. The ICOS PhenoCam protocol builds upon the established methodology of the international PhenoCam community and follows the same image processing workflow with similar data products, ensuring direct comparability between ICOS and international PhenoCam datasets.
