The station PIs have faced a variety of challenges on their way to get surface pCO2 measurements, e.g. several buoys got lost, breakdown of the vessel. They are still working towards getting the station ready for labelling, which will be resumed in 2025 when a new mooring/buoy will be deployed.
2025 March: the station PIs are now planning for a surface buoy with a Hagan-GENx pCO2 system (air-water equilibration and standard gases). This buoy will be tested in late spring 2025 and deployed in early 2026 (Meteor cruise).
