In October 2023, PML decided to withdraw WCO from ICOS. The station is active and measuremet program on CO2 and carbonate will continue.

The analysis is carried out using the Apollo SciTECH AS-C3 analyzer. A known volume of sample is acidified with phosphoric acid in a sealed chamber, sparged with Nitrogen gas and CO2 is measured in the effluent gas-stream with a non dispersive infrared analyser (LiCOR; model LI7000).
