The Puergschachen Moor is a ombrotrophic bog in the inner-alpine Enns valley in the Eastern Alps with an area of around 62 ha. It is threated by the surrounding intensive agriculture. The bog is representative for the type of inner alpine pine bogs and constitutes the biggest largely intact valley peat bog of Austria and one of the last remains of a former string of bogs and fens along the Enns river valley.
