The station Lochristi (ICOS code BE-Lcr) is located in Lochristi, Belgium, about 11 km from the city of Ghent (Province East of Flanders). The site is a short-rotation coppice plantation of poplar (Populus spp.) with flat topography. The region is pedologically described as a sandy region. The current total area of the plantation is 11 ha and the tree density is 8000 trees ha-1 . Twelve selected poplar genotypes were planted in monoclonal blocks in 2010.
