This flux tower sits at the edge of a papyrus swamp in the permanently inundated past of the Okavango Delta in Botswana. The prevailing wind blows from the direction of the papyrus. The papyrus bed stretches ca. 300 m from the shore; beyond that distance, the fetch is open water.
