This tower is located on a former peat extraction field which is now being afforested with Scot''s pine. Before disturbance, the site was a pristine minerotrophic fen. Peat extraction began in 1980 and ceased in 2020. Afforestation began in 2022, starting with fertilisation with wood ash in January 2022, ditching condition in May 2022, and planting of the Scot''s pine saplings in June 2022.
