The Auradé station, with ICOS code FR-Aur, is characterized by a winter wheat/rapeseed/winter wheat/sunflower crop rotation since 2004 with now introduction of winter cover crop. The site is located at 27.5 km from Toulouse city (southwestern France), on a hillside area near the Garonne river terraces, its total surface is 23.5 ha and the slope is 2% E-NE. This plot is part of a private cereal farm, therefore only the grain is exported. The plot is never irrigated and only mineral fertilisation is applied. Spontaneous development of weeds or regrowth can occur but the farmer never grew cover crops so far.
