The monitoring site is located in the southwest part of Greenland, at a fen, in conjunction with Kobbefjord Research Station. The site is located 600 m from the head of the fjord in a low Arctic fen, 40 m above sea level. Kobbefjord Research Station is located ca. 20 km from Nuuk (the capital of Greenland) in the inner part of Kobbefjord and is operated by the Greenland Institute of Natural Resources.
