The station Castelporziano (ICOS code IT-Cp2) is located in the Presidential Estate of Castelporziano, 25 km SW from the center of Rome, Italy and covers an area of about 6000 ha. The undisturbed Mediterranean oak forest of Castelporziano Estate hosts an experimental tower 20 m tall. The forest is a pure Holm Oak stand with some shrubs in the understory.
