This Choke tower is located about 35 Kilometers from Mwatate Town in Taita Taveta county. Inside the Choke Ranch currently known as Kutima Ranch. The tower is about 450 m from the Kutima ranch cattle boma and has human and animal trails criss-crossing the footprint. Measurementes of water and carbon fluxes started here in 2022.To get to the site, one has to go past small shopping centers such as Kamtonga and Classic I. The site has poor internet connection due to its remote location. Site visits are frequently made for maintenance and ensuring that measurements are not interrupted by unforeseen elements.
