The study was conducted at the O Thom I experimental watershed in Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia. The O Thom I River is a branch of the Stung Chinit River which feeds the Tonle Sap River, a major tributary of the Mekong River in central Cambodia. A 60m high observation tower was constructed in the northeast part of the O Thom I experimental watershed and meteorological factors were measured by using the tower. The topography near the tower was rather flat. Vegetation at the experimental watershed consisted of broad-leaved evergreen trees such as dipterocarp species. The turbulent fluxes of sensible heat, latent heat, CO2 were measured using the eddy covariance system: Eddy covariance instruments were installed at the height of 51m.
