The Haarweg meteorological station was operational from 1974 to 2011. At first, standard meteorological variables were measured. From 2001 onwards also an eddy-covariance flux station was equipped. Due to urbanization of the city of Wageningen the Haarweg site had to be relocated to what is now the site ''Veenkampen''.
