The site is embedded into the Observatoire Population-Santé-Environnement of Niakhar. Sahelian agro-sylvo-pastoral parkland system , dominated by Faidherbia (Acacia) albida, with pearl millet and peanut as undercrops, livestock and somme fallows. Large and flat farming system (>700 ha) belonging to villagers, around 20 m.a.s.l. A mosaic of land uses, each plot around 1 ha, with annual rotations between pearl millet and peanut. ,The site is managed by the villagers traditionnally.
