The research vessel (R/V) G.O. Sars is owned and operated by the Institute of Marine Research, Norway. pCO2 measurements from the surface water and the atmosphere started when the ship was new in 2003, and NORCE Research is the responsible institution for this effort, with Dr. Ingunn Skjelvan as PI. NO-SOOP G. O. Sars primarily operates in the Nordic Seas including the North Sea and the Barents Sea.
